Stepping into San Ambroues, it was clear this wasn’t just a restaurant—it was an experience. Refined yet comfortable, elegant without ego. The kind of place that knows its worth and shows it in the details. The space felt like a Milanese escape tucked into the heart of downtown—brass lighting, smooth marble surfaces, and soft tan leather seating. The room breathed with quiet luxury, while the warm murmur of conversation added a sense of life without ever overwhelming. From the moment we walked in, we were welcomed by Chloe, our host, whose charm and presence set the tone for what would be a remarkable brunch. And Milos, our waiter, delivered the kind of service that’s intuitive, attentive, and genuinely kind—an effortless hospitality that made everything feel seamless. We started with the tonnarelli cacio e pepe with shrimp—perfectly al dente pasta cloaked in peppered cream, with the shrimp offering just the right touch of richness. The penne arrabbiata brought heat and depth, bold without being brash, and deeply satisfying. Then came the San Ambroues burger, unexpectedly indulgent—juicy, balanced, and luxurious, served with precision and flair. The Fiore drink was a gentle finish—floral, refreshing, and beautifully presented. Every plate was a study in restraint and flavor, and every interaction—thanks to Chloe and Milos—felt like we were being looked after, not just served. San Ambroues captures what a brunch in SoHo should feel like: timeless, stylish, and filled with intention. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just soaking in a slow morning with friends, this is the kind of place that makes you want to stay just a little longer.

I was very happy to find place outside because the location is very good. Tiramisu and iced latte were delicious and very fresh. The best spot in the city. You should try it as soon as possible, you will never regret it.10/10

Came for a weekday lunch, and the restaurant was busy, but not too busy. Had the artichoke arugula salad and the Bolognese, but very delicious. The unlimited bread was a nice addition, which I did not receive in another Sant Ambroeus location.

This is one of my favorite places in Manhattan. Being from the same city where this Pasticceria was founded, it’s a way for me to find the pleasure of high quality, authentic, well crafted treats from Milano. The atmosphere is great, and the restaurant inspired by the classic Milano design. It’s pricey, but worth trying.

We came here on a Monday night and the restaurant was at capacity for its outdoor seating. You definitely need a reservation in the summer. It was a great spot with outdoor seating and amazing salmon! The pasta is delicious as well.

I only took a picture of the desserts but all food and cocktails were delicious. Very nice atmosphere for brunch, outstanding service, and an amazing host! 5 stars for sure. I’ll be back, will check it out for dinner next time!

If there’s a place to fall in love with, it’s Sant Ambroeus. The vibe is unmatched—chic yet relaxed—and the food is consistently excellent. It’s the perfect spot for a coffee, a long lunch, or a casual dinner, and it never disappoints. Plus, it’s great for people-watching, making the whole experience even better.
